My Personal Statement
This past year, I worked hard on improving my tournament strategy, mental game and golf mechanics. Much of my tournaments are played close to home due to my family’s hectic work schedules and a very rigorous academic program at The Benjamin School. However, my statistics speak for themselves. I am resilient, persistent and like to fight to the end.
I believe it is important to be an overall athlete as a golfer, and I take my health and physical fitness very seriously. I eat a very healthy and nutrient rich diet, exercise regularly with a strength and fitness coach, and work on my golf game daily. As a captain of my High School Varsity team and MVP every year since 7th grade, I feel fortunate to be the leader in my school. My High School academics include numerous AP and Honors classes, and I maintain 4.15 GPA. I also have a part time job at Medalist Golf Club in outside operations to help me learn more about the back end of golf and help my family financially.
As an aspiring college student golfer, I know that I would make a great addition to any team given the opportunity to work with the best coaches and top ranked players on the same team. I learn very quickly, can adapt to any situation and am very coachable. I am ready and excited for the challenge of competing in D1 college golf!
